At the moment the only gratification you'll get for approving a friend request is that of gaining a new friend. We're still working on the points system. Everyone is earning points and the points are properly accumulating. The issue is that they are reporting incorrectly. Basically anytime the system tells you that you've earned a point it also tells you a total number of points but that report is not your true point total. To find your true point totals you must visit your user profile and check them there. Hope that answers you question,
